Welcome to Shalom Scrapper!
Do you want to know more about our company? We are getting a little ver clempt just thinking about how we got started. Several years ago, a nice Jewish girl named Rachel was introduced to scrapbooking by a friend and began by scrapping her wedding to a nice Jewish boy (it was bershert)! 15 complete albums, 1,200 pages, 4,000 photos and 600 die cuts later (that is meshuggina!!!), what was once a hobby is now a passion and a way for her to creatively document her family's lives, interests, activities, and traditions. While her pages were artistic and memorable for most events during the year, the times Rachel sat down to scrap the Jewish aspects of her life proved to be a great challenge. It was really ongepotchket - and that's not good!
Oy Gevalt! With a limited supply of paper available to a Jewish scrapbooker, Rachel decided a change was in order. She was tired of the limited designs on the market - mostly solely for Hannukah - and the seemingly little interest that many paper companies held toward the growing segment of Jewish scrapbookers. It was bupkes how little existed. What about other holidays such as Passover, Rosh Hashana, and Purim? What about Jewish weddings? What about Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Bris and Baby Naming Ceremonies? What about the cultural aspects that compose the Jewish religion? And don't forget the food - what would a Jewish event be without taking pictures of the noshing??? Rachel's questions went unanswered. Then one day, when in a scrapbook store with her family (spending just a little gelt), inspiration struck and she couldn't wait to share her idea with her husband, Jason.
Luckily, Jason also had a creative side to him as he had been cutting custom die cuts for Rachel for years (what a great Scrap Husband - such a mensch!). He, too, saw the need to expand the selection of papers for Jewish events, celebrations and customs. After a few short weeks of brainstorming and many different company name suggestions - Shalom Scrapper was born! Mazel Tov!
The core philosophies of Shalom Scrapper are two-fold:
First, to provide high quality, professional, and inspirational papers to complement all Jewish occasions.
